Please read the following information before placing an order. By purchasing from our website, you agree to the terms set out below.

 

These policies apply to orders placed directly through the Artful Craftsmead website and do not affect your statutory consumer rights.

Orders & Payment

All prices are shown in GBP (£). Delivery charges, where applicable, are displayed at checkout before payment is completed.

 

An order is considered confirmed once payment has been successfully received and an order confirmation has been issued.

 

If we are unable to fulfil an order, we will contact you and arrange a cancellation and refund where appropriate.

Personalised & Custom Orders

Please enter all names, dates, messages and other personalised details exactly as you would like them to appear.

 

We reproduce the information supplied with your order and do not automatically correct spelling, grammar, names, dates or wording.

 

The customer is responsible for checking all personalised information before submitting the order.

 

If information is missing or unclear, we may contact you for clarification. This may delay production.

 

Design previews are not supplied as standard unless this is specifically stated in the product description or agreed before ordering.

 

Changes to personalisation cannot be guaranteed once production has started.

Customer-Supplied Text, Images & Designs

Where a customer supplies text, artwork, logos, images or other content for personalisation, they are responsible for ensuring that they have permission or the legal right to use that material.

 

We reserve the right to decline content that we reasonably believe may infringe intellectual property rights or which we are unable to reproduce safely or appropriately.

Handmade & Natural Materials

Many of our products are handmade and created from natural wood.

 

Grain, knots, markings, colour, texture and the way wood absorbs stain or finish will naturally vary from one piece to another.

 

These variations are part of the individual character of genuine wood and are not considered faults.

 

Product dimensions may also vary slightly as a result of cutting, sanding, assembly and hand-finishing.

 

Photographs are intended as a guide. Due to natural materials, lighting and screen settings, the finished item may not be completely identical to the product shown.

Processing Times

All Artful Craftsmead products are made, finished or personalised to order in our UK workshop.

Estimated processing times vary depending on the type, size and complexity of the product:

• Small laser-cut / plywood gifts: approximately 3–7 working days
• Standard solid wood products: approximately 8–10 working days
• Large or labour-intensive solid wood products: approximately 2–3 weeks

Processing time refers to the time required to make, personalise and prepare your order before dispatch. It does not include delivery time.

Working days exclude weekends and UK bank holidays.

Some products may have a different estimated processing time due to their construction, size or level of customisation. Where a specific processing time is shown on an individual product page, that estimate will apply to that product.

If an order contains items with different processing times, the order will normally be dispatched once all items are ready, so the longest processing time will apply.

During particularly busy periods, processing times may occasionally be slightly longer. If we expect a significant delay to your order, we will contact you.

UK Delivery

UK customers can choose Royal Mail Tracked 24 or Royal Mail Tracked 48 where available at checkout.

 

Royal Mail Tracked 24 and Tracked 48 are tracked services with delivery aims rather than guaranteed delivery dates.

 

Tracking information will be provided after dispatch.

 

We can confirm when an order is dispatched, but the exact arrival date may vary depending on the delivery service, destination and circumstances outside the normal delivery schedule.

International Delivery

International orders are sent using a tracked delivery service.

 

Delivery times vary depending on the destination and may be affected by customs processing, local postal services or other circumstances outside normal delivery schedules.

 

Customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or charges applied by the destination country unless otherwise stated at checkout.

 

Tracking information will be supplied after dispatch.

Delivery Address

Orders are sent to the delivery address supplied at checkout.

 

Please check your address carefully before completing your purchase.

 

If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible. Address changes cannot be guaranteed once an order has entered production or has been dispatched.

 

Once a parcel has been dispatched, we cannot redirect it to a different address.

Cancellations & Change of Mind

PERSONALISED OR CUSTOM-MADE ITEMS

 

Products made to your specification or clearly personalised cannot normally be cancelled or returned simply because you have changed your mind.

 

If you wish to cancel a personalised order before production has started, please contact us immediately. We will do our best to help, but cancellation cannot be guaranteed once work on the order has begun.

 

 

ELIGIBLE NON-PERSONALISED ITEMS

 

For eligible non-personalised goods purchased online, you may have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it.

 

After notifying us of your decision to cancel, you normally have a further 14 days to return the item.

 

Please contact us before returning any goods so that we can provide the appropriate return information.

 

Unless the product is faulty, damaged or incorrect, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the item.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, faulty or different from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible.

 

For damage believed to have occurred during delivery, please retain all original packaging while the issue is being investigated.

 

To allow us to properly assess the condition of the parcel and, where necessary, submit a claim with the delivery service, please provide clear evidence including:

 

• photographs of the item received,

• photographs of the outer packaging,

• photographs of the internal packaging,

• photographs clearly showing any visible damage,

• and, where reasonably possible, a short video showing the condition of both the product and the packaging in which it arrived.

 

Please do not dispose of the packaging until the matter has been resolved.

 

We will review the information provided and arrange an appropriate solution in accordance with your statutory consumer rights.

Returns Condition

Any eligible item being returned must be packaged securely and returned in an appropriate condition.

 

Customers may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what would reasonably be necessary to inspect the item.

 

Please obtain proof of postage when returning an item.

 

Do not send a return without contacting us first.

Intellectual Property & Copyright

All original product designs, artwork, photographs, graphics, written content and creative designs displayed by Artful Craftsmead and Aggie Artisan Woodworks remain our intellectual property unless otherwise stated.

 

They must not be copied, traced, reproduced, replicated, adapted, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission.

 

Purchasing a physical product does not transfer ownership of the design or grant permission to reproduce it for personal or commercial use.

 

Unauthorised reproduction or commercial use of our original designs may result in appropriate action being taken to protect our intellectual property rights.
