3. We carefully arrange the maps for your box.
4. We connect them using our heart-shaped flight route and aeroplane design.
5. We add your chosen names, wording and special date.
6. Your individual design is laser engraved onto your handcrafted box.

HANDCRAFTED FROM RAW TIMBER
This is not a ready-made or unfinished wooden box that has simply been engraved.
Each box is individually handcrafted from solid pine in our workshop from the beginning.
Our process includes:
• selecting and cutting the timber
• assembling and gluing the box
• clamping the construction
• sanding
• cutting narrow kerfs through the corners
• inserting real hardwood wedges
• separating the lid from the assembled box
• routing the edges
• preparing the individual map design
• laser engraving
• lightly sanding where required
• hand staining
• fitting the hinges and front clasp
• applying wax or protective finish
• hand polishing
The hardwood used for the corner wedges may vary depending on the timber selected for each individual box.
Every box is made individually rather than using a ready-made wooden blank.

Internal dimensions are slightly smaller due to the thickness of the solid timber.
Because every box is individually cut and handcrafted, measurements may vary slightly by a few millimetres.

Natural timber absorbs stain differently, so the final shade, grain and overall appearance will naturally vary from piece to piece.
NATURAL WOOD & HANDMADE CHARACTERISTICS
Solid wood is a natural material and every piece is unique.
Natural grain, knots, small cracks, colour variation, markings, changes in stain absorption and differences in engraving tone may occur. Areas around natural knots can also vary in appearance, and small natural voids may occasionally be present.
As each box is individually handcrafted and finished by hand, small traces of glue, sanding, polishing or workshop handling may occasionally be visible.
The hardwood corner wedges may vary in timber species, colour and grain.
A natural scent from the timber, stain, wax or workshop materials may also be noticeable when the box is first opened and will reduce over time.
Small variations in dimensions may occur because each box is individually cut and assembled.
These characteristics are part of working with genuine natural timber and traditional handmade production and do not affect the intended use of the product.

Every box is individually handcrafted and personalised after your order is placed.
Please allow approximately 8–10 business days for production before dispatch.
DELIVERY
UK orders are dispatched using Royal Mail 24 Tracked once production is complete.
Royal Mail 24 Tracked refers to the postal service used after dispatch. We guarantee the dispatch date, but the exact delivery date remains with the postal carrier.
International orders are sent using a tracked service.
Tracking information will be provided after dispatch.

As this product is individually personalised and made to order, personalised products cannot normally be returned or exchanged unless there is a fault with the item.
