A substantial personalised lucky horseshoe, CNC routed from real solid pine and displayed upright on a matching solid wood keepsake tray.

Designed and made from scratch in our workshop, this is not a thin plywood cut-out, a mass-produced blank or a ready-made horseshoe with personalisation simply added afterwards.

The horseshoe and matching base are both individually machined from solid timber, carefully sanded, personalised, stained, waxed and hand polished.

CNC ROUTED FROM SOLID WOOD

The complete horseshoe is created from real solid pine.

The horseshoe shape, heart centre, decorative profile, openings and recessed details are physically CNC routed into or through the timber.

This is not:

• Thin laser-cut plywood
• MDF
• Printed decoration
• Vinyl decoration
• A purchased unfinished blank

Laser engraving is used only for the personalised names, date and optional wording.

The substantial routed timber construction gives the finished piece genuine depth, weight and natural wood character.

SOLID WOOD KEEPSAKE TRAY

The matching base is also made from solid timber.

A deep keepsake tray is CNC routed into the base, giving the product a practical purpose as well as making it a decorative display.

The tray can be used for small everyday items such as:

• Coins
• Watch
• Small keepsakes

APPROXIMATE SIZE

Horseshoe:

Approx. 20 cm across.

Base:

Approx. 20 × 16 cm.

The base dimensions are approximate and may be slightly larger depending on the individual finished piece.

Small measurement variations are normal because each product is individually made from natural timber.

SUPPLIED IN TWO PIECES FOR SAFER DELIVERY

The horseshoe and base are intentionally supplied separately for safer transport.

The underside of the horseshoe has a wooden locating dowel.

The solid wood base contains a corresponding routed hole.

To assemble:

1. Place the base on a stable flat surface.
2. Align the wooden dowel with the routed hole.
3. Carefully insert the horseshoe into the base.
4. Press gently until securely seated.

No tools are required.

Please do not force, hammer or twist the wooden parts.

When correctly assembled, the dowel is concealed within the base and the horseshoe sits directly above the base as shown in our photographs.

WOOD STAIN OPTIONS

Real timber naturally varies in grain, density and colour.

The same stain can therefore appear slightly different from one piece of pine to another.

This natural variation is part of the character of genuine solid wood.

The making process includes:

• Preparing the CNC programme
• Securing and setting up the timber

CNC routing is only one stage of our production process.

Every piece still requires individual setup, preparation, sanding, engraving, finishing and hands-on workshop work.

NATURAL WOOD & HANDMADE CHARACTERISTICS

Real solid wood is a natural material and no two pieces are identical.

Natural characteristics may include:

• Visible wood grain
• Growth rings
• Natural colour variation
• Knots
• Partially open knots
• Fallen knots
• Knot holes
• Natural voids and cavities
• Small pinholes
• Resin or sap pockets
• Tiny surface depressions
• Fine cracks, splits or checks
• Natural texture variation
• Different stain absorption

CNC routing can reveal natural characteristics within the timber that were not visible before machining.

Routed surfaces and edges can therefore naturally vary slightly in colour, grain pattern, texture and appearance.

Laser engraving can also vary naturally in shade and depth depending on the grain direction, timber density, knots and resin content.

Because every product is individually made and assembled by hand, subtle workshop characteristics may occasionally be visible, including:

• Small glue traces where applicable
• Sanding marks
• Routing or tool marks
• Tiny dents
• Wax or polish traces
• Signs of workshop handling
• Slight alignment variation
• Small differences in finished measurements

Solid timber may naturally move slightly over time in response to changes in temperature and humidity.

These characteristics are normal for genuine natural wood and handcrafted production and are not considered faults.

FRESH WOOD & FINISH SCENT

A newly handcrafted wooden product may have a noticeable natural scent when first unpacked.

This can be a combination of fresh timber, wood stain and finishing wax.

This is normal and is not a defect.

After unpacking, allow the product to air naturally.

The initial fresh wood and finish scent will gradually reduce over time.

CARE

Keep the product dry.

Do not soak or wash the wooden parts.

Wipe gently using a soft dry or slightly damp cloth when required.

Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive moisture, strong direct heat or extreme changes in humidity.

When moving the product, lift it carefully rather than pulling or twisting the upright horseshoe.
