Personalised Solid Oak Pen & Keepsake Box – The Winged Nature Collection

Discover a beautifully handcrafted personalised solid oak pen and keepsake box, featuring five enchanting nature-inspired engraving designs: butterflies, a dragonfly, a lunar moth, a meadow bee and a magnificent winged jewel beetle.

Made individually from genuine solid oak timber in our UK workshop, this elegant wooden box combines natural wood beauty, detailed laser engraving and traditional hands-on finishing with precise CNC machining.

Whether you are looking for a personalised wooden pen box, a thoughtful gift for a nature lover or a special place for treasured little belongings, The Winged Nature Collection offers a distinctive combination of craftsmanship and personal meaning.

Every box is made from raw solid oak timber rather than a ready-made wooden blank.

An enchanting design combining natural history illustration with a gentle touch of mystery.

4. GOLDEN MEADOW BEE

A beautiful choice for bee enthusiasts, gardeners, wildflower lovers and anyone who treasures the natural world.

5. WINGED JEWEL BEETLE

A magnificent jewel beetle with its wing cases opened to reveal beautifully spread wings, inspired by vintage entomological illustrations.

Each design is engraved directly into the genuine solid oak lid, creating a natural dark engraving that complements the individual grain of the wood.

PERSONALISATION

Every box is individually personalised.

Please select your preferred Design Style and enter the exact name or short wording you would like engraved on the lid.

You may also add an optional personal dedication engraved inside the lid.

The decorative artwork for your chosen design remains fixed. Your personalised wording is incorporated into the design according to the available engraving space.

For the original Butterfly Flight design, the established butterfly artwork is retained.

Please check all names, spelling, punctuation, capital letters and dates carefully before ordering.

We engrave your wording exactly as supplied.

If no inside-lid message is provided, the inside lid will remain without personalised wording.

Digital engraving previews are not routinely supplied unless specifically agreed before production.

APPROXIMATE DIMENSIONS

External dimensions: 16 × 7.5 × 3.5 cm (approximately 6.3 × 3 × 1.4 inches)

Internal dimensions: 15 × 5.5 × 3 cm (approximately 5.9 × 2.2 × 1.2 inches)

As each box is individually handcrafted, slight measurement variations may occur.

Please check the internal dimensions carefully before purchasing to ensure your intended contents will fit.

GENUINE SOLID OAK CONSTRUCTION

Each box is individually made from genuine solid oak timber in our UK workshop.

The separate base and lid are precision CNC-machined from solid timber, creating a carefully shaped internal compartment and a beautifully finished exterior with softly rounded corners.

The construction includes:

• Genuine solid oak base and lid
• Precision CNC-machined internal compartment
• Personalised laser-engraved lid design
• Optional engraved dedication inside the lid
• Two small concealed 8 mm brass barrel hinges
• One centrally positioned magnetic closure, with a matching magnet in the lid and base
• Soft beige felt fitted to the lower interior base only
• Natural wood wax/oil finish
• Carefully hand-sanded and hand-polished surfaces

The box has one open storage compartment without internal dividers.

We do not use MDF, plywood or ready-made mass-produced boxes for this product.

HANDCRAFTED FROM RAW TIMBER

Our process begins with selecting and preparing genuine solid oak timber.

The wood is cut and prepared before we use CNC machining to shape the separate lid and base, create the internal recesses and precisely machine the positions for the concealed hinges and magnetic closure.

We then laser-engrave your selected design and personalised wording directly into the oak.

The concealed brass barrel hinges and central magnetic closure are carefully fitted.

Each box is hand-sanded, treated with a natural wood wax/oil finish and polished by hand to bring out the beautiful character of the oak.

Finally, soft beige felt is fitted to the lower interior base, and the completed box is inspected before packaging.

This careful process produces an individually handcrafted wooden keepsake rather than a mass-produced accessory.

A BEAUTIFUL PLACE FOR PENS & SMALL TREASURES

This personalised wooden box is ideal for storing appropriately sized small belongings, including:

• A slim pen or short writing instrument
• Small writing accessories
• Rings and delicate jewellery
• Folded personal notes
• Small sentimental keepsakes
• Other little treasures that fit comfortably inside

Its natural solid oak construction and personalised engraving make it both a useful storage box and a meaningful gift.

IMPORTANT – PEN AND CONTENTS NOT INCLUDED

This listing is for ONE personalised solid oak wooden box only.

Pens, pencils, jewellery, keepsakes, flowers and all other accessories shown in photographs are for illustration purposes and are not included.

The internal compartment measures approximately 15 × 5.5 × 3 cm.

Not all pens, pencils or writing instruments will fit, particularly longer or unusually shaped models.

Please measure your intended contents before placing your order.

This is a decorative wooden storage box and is not designed to provide crush-proof or impact-resistant protection.

A THOUGHTFUL GIFT FOR MANY OCCASIONS

The Winged Nature Collection is a lovely choice for birthdays, Christmas, Mother's Day, graduations, teacher appreciation, anniversaries, thank-you gifts and other special occasions.

Each nature-inspired design has its own distinctive character, allowing you to choose something meaningful for the recipient.

With personalised engraving and genuine solid oak craftsmanship, the box can become a lasting keepsake long after the occasion has passed.

NATURAL SOLID OAK & HANDMADE CHARACTERISTICS

Please read before purchasing.

Solid oak is a genuine natural material. Every piece has its own unique grain, colour, texture and character.

Natural timber characteristics may include variations in grain direction and colour, knots (including open or fallen knots), small voids or cavities, pinholes, resin pockets, mineral markings, fine cracks, checks and other naturally occurring features.

Because every box is individually machined, engraved, assembled, sanded and finished by hand, small handmade characteristics may also be visible.

These can include subtle CNC machining or routing marks, sanding or tool marks, tiny dents, minor glue or wax traces, slight differences in edges, joints or alignment, and small variations in finished dimensions.

Engraving darkness and appearance may vary slightly depending on the individual oak grain and timber density.

Natural solid wood also responds to changes in temperature and humidity and may expand or contract slightly over time.

These characteristics are part of the beauty and individuality of genuine solid wood and handmade production. Natural features consistent with the material and its intended use are not normally considered manufacturing defects.

FRESH WOOD & FINISH SCENT

Your box is freshly handcrafted from genuine solid oak and treated with a natural wood wax/oil finish.

When first opened, it may have a noticeable scent of fresh timber combined with the finishing products used during production.

This is normal for a newly handcrafted wooden item and is not a defect.

If you prefer a milder scent, unpack the box and leave it open in a dry, well-ventilated room for approximately 24–48 hours.

The natural scent should gradually fade.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Keep your box indoors in a clean, dry environment.

Avoid excessive moisture, prolonged direct sunlight, strong heat sources and sudden changes in temperature or humidity.

Gently wipe the wood with a soft, dry cloth.

Do not immerse the box in water or use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners or soaking-wet cloths.

Keep the beige felt clean and dry.

Open and close the lid gently without forcing the concealed hinges or magnetic closure.

This is a decorative storage item, not a toy. Keep away from young children.
