NATURAL WOOD & HANDMADE CHARACTERISTICS
Real timber is a natural material and no two pieces will ever be identical.
Your memorial tree may show natural characteristics including:
• Grain variation
• Growth rings
• Natural colour variation
• Knots
• Partially open or fallen knots
• Small knot holes
• Natural voids or cavities
• Tiny pinholes
• Resin or sap pockets
• Small depressions
• Fine checks, cracks or splits
• Different stain absorption
• Slight engraving shade or depth variation caused by natural grain, resin and timber density
• Minor CNC, sanding and hand-finishing marks
• Small workshop handling marks
• Tiny dents
• Wax or polish traces
• Slight measurement variation
• Natural wood movement caused by changes in temperature and humidity
These are natural characteristics of genuine solid timber and handmade production and are not considered defects.
FRESH WOOD & FINISH SCENT
As your memorial tree is newly handcrafted from real timber and freshly finished, you may notice a natural scent of pine combined with wood stain, wax or finishing oil when first unpacked.
This is normal and not a defect.
The scent will gradually reduce after unpacking and natural airing.
