A Clever Design That Uses Gravity

What makes this wooden wine rack so unusual is its intentionally angled construction.

The stand is relatively lightweight because it is made from solid pine, but the weight and positioning of the wine bottles help create its remarkable balancing effect.

When suitable bottles are inserted into the specially positioned openings, the combined centre of gravity moves over the wooden base, allowing the stand and bottles to balance together.

The angled design is part of the construction, not a fault or distortion.

Please note that stability and balance can vary depending on the weight, shape, fullness and positioning of the bottles. Always place the stand on a level, stable surface and check its balance carefully when adding or removing bottles.

Important Personalisation Information

Every stand is made to order with individual engraving.

Please provide your final wording exactly as you would like it engraved. We use the personalisation supplied with the order, including spelling, punctuation and capitalisation.

Customers are responsible for checking the accuracy of their details before ordering.

For Full Custom artwork, we may contact you to clarify design requirements or confirm that the requested artwork is suitable for the available engraving area.

Artwork and layout may be adapted to fit the product appropriately. Any reference images or logos supplied must be your own or used with permission.

Handmade From Scratch – Not Mass Produced

Our wooden wine racks are individually produced in our own workshop, beginning with raw solid pine timber rather than ready-made wooden blanks.

Each stand goes through several stages of careful woodworking:

1. Timber preparation – selecting and preparing the solid pine for the individual components.

2. CNC routing – separately machining the wooden base, angled bottle support and wine glass holders.

3. Precision shaping – creating the two bottle-neck openings and the shaped slots for the wine glasses.

4. Hand assembly – joining the prepared components with wood glue and reinforcing the construction with nails.

5. Hand sanding – carefully smoothing the surfaces, edges and routed details.

6. Laser engraving – adding the selected design and personalisation to the wooden base.

7. Wood staining – applying the chosen colour to enhance the natural grain.

8. Surface finishing – applying protective oil or wax, followed by careful hand polishing.

For many darker stained finishes, the pine is also carefully flame-treated before staining to enhance the natural grain and create a distinctive rustic appearance.

The result is an individual handcrafted piece, made with care rather than factory-produced in large quantities.

Product Dimensions

Approximate measurements:

- Wooden base: 22 × 16 cm

- Angled bottle support: 22 × 6.5 cm

- Bottle support thickness: approximately 4–5 cm

- Base and glass-holder timber thickness: approximately 1.5–1.8 cm

- Bottle-neck openings: approximately 3.5 cm diameter

All dimensions are approximate. Small differences are expected because every product is individually made from natural timber.

Please check that your intended wine bottles are compatible with the openings. Unusual bottle necks and glass shapes may not fit.

Wood Stain Options

All finishes are applied to real solid pine wood. The stain names describe the finish colour and do not mean that the product is made from oak, walnut, mahogany or teak.

Natural grain patterns, knots and differences in timber absorption mean that every finished stand will have its own individual appearance.

Natural Wood & Handmade Characteristics

This product is made from genuine solid wood, a natural material with individual character.

Each piece may display variations in grain direction, colour, texture, growth rings, knots, darker or lighter areas and the way the stain is absorbed.

Natural timber may also contain open or partially fallen knots, small voids or cavities, pinholes, resin pockets, fine cracks, checks and other natural features.

As every stand is individually machined, assembled and hand-finished, small variations may be visible in dimensions, alignment, joints, routed or sanded surfaces, tool marks, minor dents and traces of glue, stain, oil or wax.

These characteristics are part of the nature of real timber and handmade woodworking. They do not indicate that the item has been mass-produced or manufactured from artificial wood.

Solid wood can also respond to changes in temperature and humidity through natural movement over time.

Fresh Wood & Finish Scent

As your wine rack is freshly handcrafted, it may have a noticeable natural scent of timber, wood stain and finishing oil or wax when first unpacked.

This is normal for a newly finished wooden product and is not a defect.

If the scent is noticeable, simply unpack the stand and allow it to air naturally in a well-ventilated area. Avoid direct heat while airing.

Care Instructions

- Place the stand on a flat, stable surface.

- Keep away from excessive moisture, direct heat and prolonged strong sunlight.

- Clean gently using a soft, slightly damp cloth.

- Dry promptly and do not soak or submerge the wood.

- Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals.

- Insert and remove bottles carefully, checking the balance each time.

- Do not overload or use as a carrying device while filled with bottles or glasses.
