Each clock measures approximately 38 cm in diameter and 20 mm thick.

Every piece is individually prepared, engraved, hand stained, finished and assembled in our UK workshop.

20 MM WOODEN CONSTRUCTION

This clock is made from substantial 20 mm birch plywood.

Its thickness gives the finished clock a much more substantial appearance than a thin decorative clock face and provides enough depth for the rear mechanism and hanging hardware to sit within specially prepared areas.

Please note that this product is made from birch plywood and is not solid birch timber.

PERMANENT LASER ENGRAVING

The Roman numeral layout and personalised wording are permanently laser engraved into the wooden surface.

The design is not printed, painted or applied using vinyl.

Because laser engraving interacts naturally with the grain of the wood, slight differences in engraving tone are normal and form part of the character of each individually made clock.

SILENT CLOCK MECHANISM

The clock is fitted with a quiet mechanism designed to avoid traditional loud ticking.

This makes it particularly suitable for:

DESIGNED TO SIT NEATLY AGAINST THE WALL

The rear of the clock is carefully prepared during production.

A dedicated recessed area is created for the clock mechanism, together with a separate hanging point.

This helps the hardware sit neatly within the rear of the clock rather than unnecessarily projecting from the surface.

The result is a cleaner wall fit.

RECESSED CLOCK MECHANISM

The rear mechanism is fitted into its own prepared recess rather than simply being mounted onto the back surface of the clock.

HANGING HARDWARE

A separate hanging point is fitted to the rear of the clock so the finished piece is ready to hang.

CLOCK HANDS – SAFE SHIPPING

Clock hands are delicate and can easily become bent during transport.

For safer shipping, the clock hands are carefully packed separately from the clock and fitted after delivery.

You will receive:

• Hour hand
• Minute hand
• Second hand

Fit them in this order:

1. Hour hand
2. Minute hand
3. Second hand

A simple fitting guide is included.

Once fitted, the hands should remain straight and must not touch each other or rub against the clock face.

HANDCRAFTED FROM START TO FINISH

Every clock goes through a genuine multi-stage making and finishing process in our workshop.

The process includes:

• Preparing the clock blank
• Preparing the rear mechanism area
• Preparing the hanging point
• Hand sanding the surface and edges
• Precision laser engraving
• Adding your personalised wording
• Final surface preparation
• Hand staining
• Applying a protective finish
• Hand polishing
• Fitting the clock mechanism
• Fitting the hanging hardware
• Final assembly checks
• Minimum 2-hour function test
• Final quality inspection
• Removing and safely packing the clock hands for transit
• Protective packaging

This is not a mass-produced printed clock.

Every personalised clock is individually prepared, engraved, finished and checked before leaving our workshop.

MINIMUM 2-HOUR FUNCTION TEST

Once the clock mechanism and components have been installed, every completed clock is left running for a minimum of 2 hours.

This allows us to check that the mechanism is operating correctly before the clock is packed and prepared for dispatch.

WOOD STAIN COLOURS

Choose from:

• Pine – Light
• Light Oak
• Medium Oak
• Walnut
• Brown Mahogany
• Dark Teak
• Ebony

Each clock is stained individually by hand.

Wood naturally varies in grain, colour and stain absorption, meaning the same stain may appear slightly lighter, darker or warmer from one clock to another.

Please use the stain chart as a guide rather than an exact colour guarantee.

PROTECTIVE FINISH & HAND POLISH

After staining, the clock receives a protective finish and is carefully polished by hand.

This enhances the character of the wood and gives the finished clock a smooth, refined appearance.

CHOOSE YOUR FONT

A selection of engraving fonts is shown in the product photographs.

Choose your preferred font using the Font option.

If you are unsure which font will suit your wording best, choose the closest style you prefer.

NATURAL MATERIAL NOTICE

Birch plywood is made from natural wood and every clock has its own individual character.

Natural characteristics may include:

• Different grain patterns
• Light and dark areas
• Fine natural lines
• Small knots or markings
• Natural colour variation
• Different stain absorption
• Slight variation in engraving tone
• Visible layered plywood edges

These characteristics are natural and are not considered defects.

No two handcrafted clocks will look completely identical.

Lighting, photography and individual screen settings may also affect how the finished stain appears.

DELIVERY

UK orders are sent using a tracked Royal Mail service after dispatch.

International orders are sent using tracked delivery where available.

We can guarantee the scheduled dispatch date but cannot guarantee an exact delivery date.

Postal delays, courier delays, customs processing and other circumstances after dispatch are outside our control.
