NATURAL WOOD & HANDMADE CHARACTERISTICS
Each box is handcrafted from real wood, so natural variations are part of the product and not faults. Grain pattern, growth rings and colour will vary from piece to piece. You may also see knots, partially open knots, fallen knots, knot holes, natural voids, pinholes, sap or resin pockets, texture differences and different stain absorption across the wood.
Engraving shade and depth can vary slightly depending on the grain and density of the timber. As a handmade item, there may also be light sanding marks, subtle routing or tool marks, tiny dents, faint glue traces, wax or polish residue, minor signs of workshop handling, slight joint or alignment variation and small measurement differences.
Natural timber can also respond to humidity and temperature over time.
FRESH WOOD & FINISH SCENT
When first opened, a newly handcrafted box may have a noticeable natural scent of fresh timber combined with wood stain and finishing wax. This is normal and not a defect. After unpacking and allowing the box to air naturally, the scent will gradually reduce.
