A meaningful personalised keepsake box handcrafted from solid pine and created for Nikah, Islamic weddings, engagements, anniversaries and other special celebrations for a couple.

Each box is individually handcrafted in our workshop from raw solid pine timber. It is not a ready-made unfinished box with engraving simply added afterwards.

Because real timber absorbs stain differently, the exact tone and grain appearance will naturally vary from one box to another.

HANDCRAFTED FROM SOLID PINE

Every box is made individually from raw solid pine timber in our workshop.

The process includes:

• Selecting and cutting the timber

• Assembling and gluing the box

• Clamping

• Sanding

• Cutting narrow corner kerfs

• Reinforcing the corners with small hardwood wedges

• Separating the lid from the completed box body

• Routing and refining the edges where required

• Laser engraving

• Further sanding and refining

• Applying the selected wood stain

• Fitting hinges, decorative clasp and lid limiter

• Engraving the optional inside message where selected

• Applying protective wax or finish

• Hand polishing

The hardwood used for the corner reinforcement may vary in species, colour and grain.

NATURAL WOOD & HANDMADE CHARACTERISTICS

Real solid wood is a natural material, so every box will be different.

Natural characteristics may include visible grain, growth rings, colour variation, knots, partially open knots, fallen knots, knot holes, natural voids, cavities, pinholes, resin or sap pockets, tiny surface depressions, fine cracks, splits or checks and natural texture variation.

Different areas of timber may absorb wood stain differently.

Laser engraving may also naturally vary in shade, darkness and depth depending on grain direction, timber density, knots and resin content.

As each box is handcrafted, subtle workshop characteristics may also be present, including light glue traces, sanding marks, routing or tool marks, tiny dents, wax or polish traces, signs of workshop handling, slight joint or alignment variation and small differences in finished measurements.

Hardwood corner wedges may vary in timber species, grain and colour.

Solid timber can also move slightly in response to changes in humidity and temperature.

These are normal characteristics of genuine natural wood and handmade construction and are not considered faults.

FRESH WOOD & FINISH SCENT

A newly handcrafted box may have a noticeable natural scent when first opened.

This may be a combination of fresh timber, wood stain and the wax or protective finish used during production.

This is normal for a freshly finished solid wood product and is not a defect.

After unpacking, allow the box to air naturally. The initial scent will gradually reduce over time.

Font choice applies only to personalised names, date and optional inside message.
