All dimensions are approximate. Small differences may occur due to natural timber thickness, individual cutting, machining, sanding and finishing.

The number of slots does not represent a fixed number of keys. The capacity depends on the size, shape and arrangement of individual keys and key sets.

HOW DOES OUR KEY HOLDER WORK?

Our solid oak key organiser uses a distinctive CNC-routed slot system rather than conventional metal hooks.

The slots run horizontally across the front of the holder and are machined at an angle into the solid oak.

To hang your keys:

1. Take your set of keys and select one suitable metal key.

2. Turn that individual key horizontally.

3. Slide the metal blade of the selected key into the angled wooden slot.

4. Release the key set. The inserted key remains supported in the groove while its head, keyring and the remaining keys hang below.

The keyring itself does not need to be inserted into the groove.

This simple design allows your keys to hang neatly without conventional protruding key hooks.

Key shapes, thicknesses and key sets vary. Please ensure your keys are suitable for the routed slot system before ordering.

Keys, keyrings and decorative accessories shown in photographs are not included.

For Family Name Design and Minimal Personalised, your chosen wording forms the main personalised element.

The layout will be arranged to suit the selected design and available engraving area.

Very long quotes may not be suitable. Please contact us before ordering if you would like to use particularly lengthy wording.

Please provide your final wording exactly as you would like it engraved.

The buyer is responsible for checking all names, surnames, spelling, punctuation, dates, capital letters and apostrophes.

We use the text provided with your order and do not automatically correct or rewrite it.

Design previews are not included as standard unless specifically agreed before production.

Personalised engraving on the reverse is not offered with this product.

GENUINE SOLID OAK CONSTRUCTION

Our key holders are crafted from real solid oak timber, selected for its distinctive natural grain, strength and timeless appearance.

Unlike thin wooden signs, the holder has a substantial thickness of approximately 2.5–3 cm.

The horizontal key slots are routed directly into the solid timber using CNC machinery.

The routed grooves are angled within the wood, creating the distinctive slot construction visible from the side.

Each piece is individually prepared and finished to enhance the beauty of genuine oak.

The wood receives a suitable oil or wax finish and is carefully polished by hand.

We do not offer additional wood stain colour variations for this product.

The natural oak colour and appearance will vary slightly between pieces.

MADE FROM SCRATCH IN OUR UK WORKSHOP

Every personalised oak key holder is individually produced in-house.

1. Timber Selection

We select suitable solid oak timber and prepare the material for the chosen size.

2. Measuring and Cutting

The timber is carefully measured and cut to create the required holder dimensions.

3. CNC Slot Routing

Using our CNC equipment, we machine the chosen number of horizontal, angled key-holding grooves directly into the oak.

4. Rear CNC Machining

Two recessed mounting pockets are machined into the back of the holder to accommodate the metal wall hangers.

5. Sanding and Surface Preparation

The wooden surfaces, routed details and edges are sanded and prepared for finishing.

6. Personalised Laser Engraving

Your chosen design and individual wording are permanently laser engraved onto the front surface.

7. Oiling or Waxing

An appropriate finish is applied to protect the wood and enhance the natural character of the oak.

8. Hand Polishing

The finished surface is carefully polished by hand, bringing out the natural grain and wood tone.

9. Mounting Fittings

The recessed metal hangers are fitted to the back of the holder.

10. Final Inspection and Packaging

Each completed key holder is checked and carefully packaged for dispatch.

Every stage combines precision machining with the hands-on care and attention of genuine small-workshop craftsmanship.

HIDDEN WALL MOUNTING

Our key holder is designed to be mounted on a suitable wall.

The back features two CNC-machined recessed pockets fitted with metal sawtooth-style wall hangers.

These fittings help keep the wall-mounting hardware discreetly positioned behind the wooden holder.

Wall screws and wall plugs are not included.

You will need appropriate wall fixings suitable for your particular wall type.

Please ensure the holder is securely installed using both mounting points before hanging keys.

Avoid overloading the holder or using it to support excessively heavy objects.

If you are uncertain which fixings are suitable for your wall, please seek appropriate professional advice.

NATURAL WOOD & HANDMADE CHARACTERISTICS

Please read before purchasing.

This product is crafted from genuine solid oak, a natural organic material that varies from one piece to another.

Oak is not a perfectly uniform manufactured material.

Your holder may display natural characteristics including:

- Distinctive grain patterns and growth rings

- Natural variations in grain direction

- Different shades and tones within the timber

- Knots, including occasional partially open or fallen knots

- Natural knot holes or small cavities

- Tiny pinholes or natural wood markings

- Small depressions

- Mineral marks and natural colour streaks

- Fine natural cracks or checks

- Differences in how the timber absorbs its finish

The appearance of the wood may vary depending on the particular oak used.

Handcrafted Surface Characteristics

Because every key holder is individually cut, routed, sanded and hand-finished, minor cosmetic characteristics can occur.

These may include small sanding marks, CNC routing or tool marks, very small dents, workshop handling marks, occasional finishing or polishing traces and slight variations in dimensions or edge profiles.

Laser Engraving

The colour, contrast and apparent depth of laser engraving may vary naturally depending on oak grain, density and other timber characteristics.

No two engraved pieces will look completely identical.

Natural Timber Movement

Solid oak may expand or contract slightly in response to changes in humidity and temperature.

Natural markings and minor cosmetic variations consistent with a sound handcrafted solid wood product are part of its individual character and do not automatically indicate a defect.

We cannot guarantee identical grain, colour, engraving contrast or natural markings between individual pieces.

These statements do not affect your statutory consumer rights where an item is faulty or not as described.

FRESH WOOD & FINISH SCENT

Your key holder is individually handcrafted and freshly finished to order.

When first unpacked, you may notice a natural scent from the fresh timber, wood oil, wax or other finishing products used.

This is normal for a newly finished wooden item and does not, by itself, indicate a defect.

The scent will gradually reduce with natural airing.

If needed, allow approximately 24–48 hours in a well-ventilated room after unpacking.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To help preserve the appearance of your solid oak key holder:

- Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth.

- Avoid soaking the wood or exposing it to prolonged moisture.

- Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.

- Keep away from direct heat sources.

- Avoid excessive humidity and prolonged direct sunlight.

- Do not force unsuitable objects into the routed grooves.

- Avoid placing excessive weight on the holder.

- Check that the wall fixings remain secure.

- Treat the timber and its routed edges with care.

Every key holder is individually personalised with buyer-specific wording.

As a genuinely customised product, it is generally excluded from the standard change-of-mind cancellation rights for distance purchases.

If your item arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, please contact us so we can review the issue and arrange an appropriate resolution in accordance with your statutory consumer rights.
