🌿 Handmade from Solid Pine Wood
Unlike mass-produced wooden boxes, each keepsake chest is individually handcrafted using solid pine timber.
The wood is carefully cut, assembled, sanded, stained, waxed and hand-polished to create a beautiful finish that celebrates the natural character of the timber.
Our wooden boxes feature:
- Genuine solid pine construction
- Traditional rectangular keepsake chest design
- Solid wooden lid
- Decorative antique-style metal front clasp
- Metal hinges and lid support
- Beautifully laser-engraved personalised lid
- Hand-applied wood stain
- Protective wax finish, polished by hand
- Natural wooden interior without fabric lining
- Optional personalised message inside the lid
The natural grain remains visible through the stain, giving every finished box its own individual character.
No two boxes will ever be completely identical.
📏 Available Sizes
Choose the size that best suits your keepsakes.
Approximate external dimensions:
- 30 × 25 × 10 cm
- 30 × 25 × 20 cm
- 35 × 25 × 20 cm
- 45 × 30 × 30 cm
- 50 × 35 × 30 cm
All dimensions are approximate and refer to the outside of the box.
As each chest is handcrafted, slight variations in measurements may occur.
Please remember that the internal storage space is smaller due to the thickness of the solid wooden construction.
The overall appearance and proportions will naturally vary between sizes.
🎨 Choose Your Wood Stain
Personalise your keepsake box further by selecting your preferred wood stain.
Available finishes:
- Light Oak
- Medium Oak
- Dark Oak

Each box is stained, waxed and polished by hand.
Important: Wood stain colours may appear different depending on the natural grain, density and absorbency of the timber, as well as lighting conditions and individual screen settings.
The colour samples are provided as a guide only.
Natural variations are an essential part of the beauty of real wood.

Make your wooden keepsake chest even more meaningful with a personal message engraved on the inside of the lid.
You may choose to include:

🛠️ Individually Handmade in the UK
Every wooden keepsake box is made to order in our workshop.
We work with genuine timber rather than attempting to create the artificial uniformity of factory-made products.
Each piece of wood has its own unique grain, colour variations and natural markings.
You may notice:
- Visible knots and grain patterns
- Differences in wood colour and tone
- Small natural imperfections or pinholes
- Minor surface irregularities
- Occasional fine natural cracks or timber movement
- Slight variations in handcrafted dimensions
- Differences in how the stain is absorbed
- Natural variations in the depth and appearance of laser engraving
These characteristics are not manufacturing defects. They are part of the authentic appearance of handcrafted solid wood.
The laser engraving may also vary slightly in darkness depending on the individual timber grain.
Freshly finished wooden products may have a noticeable natural wood, stain or wax scent when first unpacked. This normally fades with ventilation over time.
🧽 Care Instructions
To keep your wooden keepsake box looking beautiful:
- Wipe gently with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
- Avoid soaking or washing with water.
- Do not use harsh cleaning chemicals or abrasive products.
- Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight and excessive heat.
- Avoid damp environments and extreme temperature changes.
- Do not overload the box or force the hinges or clasp.
- Open and close the lid gently.
Solid wood naturally responds to changes in temperature and humidity. Minor movement over time is a normal characteristic of genuine timber.
This box is intended for decorative keepsake storage and is not a toy. Keep it away from unsupervised young children.
